I love the GMO Family! All three of my girls go here. Dr. Doshi and her staff are absolutely amazing. From the moment you enter the door, the greetings, smiles and atmosphere put you at ease. They make you feel like family. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. We started off at another facility and the vibes weren’t there. So, I heard about GMO and haven’t looked back.
Dr. Doshi and her team are the best! So great with our 10yo daughter. She even said she would miss the visits!
Dr. Doshi was wonderful to work with! I went in after my 13 year old retainer broke, and she was incredibly helpful in getting a quick impression done and ensuring a fast turnaround for a new retainer. Her bedside manner is top-notch! She made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. Her office staff and associates were also very pleasant and easy to work with. I highly recommend Dr. Doshi for your orthodontic needs!
We are so pleased by our experience at Greater Madison Orthodontics! Dr. Doshi leads a fantastic team that is always laughing and having fun while they work. They really put our teen at ease as she went through the process of having her braces. Today, we finished up, and the result was phenomenal. The difference between adult orthodontics & orthodontics for children and teens:
The main difference between treating adults and children or teens is that the jawbones of younger patients are still developing. For adults, these bones have stopped growing; thus, orthognathic surgery may be necessary to align the jawbones. Other differences include:
- Gum or bone loss (periodontal disease) — Adults are more likely than children to experience gum recession or even bone loss due to gingivitis or advanced periodontal disease. Patients with straighter teeth are less likely to get gum disease.
- Worn or missing teeth — Over time, teeth can become worn down and shift into different positions that can only be corrected with orthodontic care. Missing teeth can cause other teeth to shift and tilt, creating a bad bite and increasing the possibility of gum disease.
